What is Matsu?
“Matsu” is a Japanese pine tree, the official tree of the city of Hamamatsu, Japan, the birthplace of my father, which has inspired and influenced our vision. We take both the taste from the country hill side and coastal region of Hamamatsu to combine recipes using traditional Japanese and modern day culinary influences. At Matsu, perfection is a Japanese art that we take seriously and we use nothing but the freshest in our wide variety of ingredients. We strive to stimulate your taste buds, as well as your mind, to ensure that your event is a true masterpiece.
